The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating on B2B solutions focused on customization and integration for enterprise clients.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience. Required qualifications include proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js, direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred qualifications include experience with Docker and containerized deployments, as well as proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate demonstrates efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
