Salary: USD 123,000 - 132,000 / annual

HealthEdge is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Performance and Tools team, supporting the company's AI-powered operational infrastructure for health insurance companies. This role focuses on enhancing synthetic data generation tools, investigating performance issues in enterprise applications, and optimizing performance testing frameworks for cloud-native systems. Key responsibilities include: supporting quality and development teams with test data generation requirements; learning and enhancing in-house test data generation tools; designing and executing performance test scenarios; troubleshooting performance bottlenecks across application, infrastructure, and database layers; integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines; collaborating with Development, QA, DevOps, and SRE teams; incorporating AI/ML techniques into performance testing; integrating observability tools for performance analysis; performing load, stress, spike, endurance, volume, and scalability testing; and creating performance reports with optimization recommendations. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 3-8 years of software development and performance testing/engineering experience; proficiency in Python for backend development and JavaScript for frontend work; strong SQL and database design knowledge; experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, Locust, NeoLoad, or BlazeMeter); hands-on experience with application monitoring tools (Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch, or Google Cloud Monitoring); experience analyzing logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts; and familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred skills include Java knowledge for troubleshooting, PostgreSQL expertise, Ruby/Rails experience, AWS and GCP cloud knowledge, Git and GitLab Pipelines proficiency, CI/CD environment experience, and understanding of APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. The role requires strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with ability to work across multiple time zones in a remote environment. US Citizens or Green Card holders only.
