This team integrates product usage, pricing, billing, ads, payments, and financial data to enable Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM teams to make better decisions and deliver reliable customer experiences. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build the next generation of the monetization data platform, owning high-impact systems end-to-end from architecture through testing, deployment, observability, and ongoing operation. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous customer and business problems, designing durable systems, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include: - Design, improve, and operate reliable, scalable backend services powering pricing, billing, ads, payments, entitlements, and other monetization capabilities - Own architecture and implementation of critical workflows for monetization data, data contracts, and integrations across product and business systems - Establish strong guarantees for correctness, availability, security, performance, reconciliation, and auditability in business-critical systems - Build reusable platform capabilities and developer tools enabling product teams to launch, measure, and iterate on monetization products quickly and safely - Partner with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Accounting, and GTM teams to translate needs into robust technical solutions - Lead technical design and delivery of complex cross-functional projects using clear system designs and RFCs - Improve observability and operational excellence of critical services including monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning - Mentor other engineers, contribute to architecture and code reviews, and share knowledge across the organization You should have a minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale. Deep proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Go, Java, Python, Rust, C++) with strong computer science fundamentals is essential. You should have strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, storage systems, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture. Experience designing systems with rigorous correctness, reliability, observability, security, and access-control requirements is important. You should be able to collaborate with cross-functional partners, navigate ambiguity, and drive progress from problem definition through delivery. A product-oriented mindset with clear communication skills—both technical and non-technical—is valued. You care deeply about correctness and operational reliability while maintaining a practical bias toward delivering customer and business value. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with monetization, pricing, billing, ads, payments, entitlements, subscriptions, or financial products; familiarity with financial correctness, reconciliation, compliance, or audit requirements; and experience with high-scale distributed systems, transactional workflows, event streaming, or payment infrastructure.
