Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and computer vision. The ML Infrastructure team builds core systems powering Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates heterogeneous sensors across large fleets to provide real-time command and control. As a Software Engineer on the ML Infrastructure team, you will develop foundational systems that perception engineers across the company leverage to field sophisticated autonomous edge systems. Your responsibilities include: • Build and operate core model training and dataset management infrastructure that perception engineers rely on to continuously retrain and improve detection and tracing systems • Improve perception engineer-facing tooling and SDKs by partnering closely with engineers to understand pain points and iterate on solutions • Integrate frontier models for data augmentation, curation, and synthetic data generation across the dataset pipeline, enabling semantic search across data holdings • Enable observability and traceability of the full ML lifecycle through real-time monitoring of training jobs, model evaluation reporting, and model registry systems that integrate with fleet management • Engage directly with business line engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions meeting their specific needs and constraints Required skills include strong Python proficiency, experience with modern deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), distributed training paradigms, and MLOps tooling (Modal, Flyte, Airflow, Dagster). Familiarity with Kubernetes deployment and ML observability platforms (Weights & Biases, MLFlow) is preferred. U.S. Person status is required due to export-controlled data access; eligibility for Top Secret clearance is desirable.
