Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company's Lattice OS is an AI-powered operating system that processes thousands of data streams into real-time, 3D command and control centers. Anduril is committed to delivering cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military at unprecedented speed.
The Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team specializes in solving complex, real-world problems through cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software integrations. Operating in small, innovative teams, the group pushes the boundaries of what's possible to deliver advanced technologies with mission-critical applications. The team's work involves cutting-edge algorithms and high-performance software for multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning.
In this role, you will provide software engineering and development support for several of the team's core tools. For candidates with an ML background, you will help stand up new ML infrastructure that improves how the team optimizes system parameters and detects performance regressions in CI. You'll work on real-world problems with deployed solutions that have measurable impact, not just academic research or proof-of-concept experiments.

- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software
- Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day-to-day workflow
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

- Python FastAPI
- CesiumJS
- Experience with faster-than-real-time (FTRT) simulation
- Machine learning background (Master's, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience), particularly in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, or explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML)
- Experience building Slackbot integrations
