Twilio is seeking a Software Engineer (L2) to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, building authentication and authorization products for hundreds of thousands of businesses and millions of developers worldwide.
In this role, you will design, develop, and implement high-quality frontend applications using React and TypeScript. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for mission-critical IAM products. Your responsibilities include participating in code reviews to ensure code quality, troubleshooting and debugging issues to maintain smooth application performance, and owning high-scale cloud-based systems and services.
You'll work with modern technologies including GraphQL, REST APIs, and contemporary testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai). The role requires managing work through GitHub, Jira, and internal build/deploy systems, and documenting technical specifications and procedures.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 3+ years of proven experience as a Software or Frontend Developer with strong understanding of React, TypeScript, and the frontend ecosystem. You must have solid experience with HTML, CSS, object-oriented JavaScript, and GraphQL. Strong debugging skills across systems and repositories, knowledge of OpenAPI specs and RESTful API concepts, and experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility are essential.
Desired qualifications include experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git version control, accessibility and SEO best practices, CSS pre-processors (SASS/LESS), Figma for design collaboration, AWS cloud platforms, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
