Salary: PLN 36,000 - 40,000 / monthly
Revolut is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join its Credit team with the opportunity to relocate to Poland, Spain, or the UAE. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model across offices in Krakow, Barcelona, Madrid, or Dubai.
You'll be part of Revolut's Technology team, which builds the systems and experiences powering a fintech platform serving 75+ million customers. The company is focused on delivering visibility, control, and freedom around money through products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel.
Key responsibilities include building mobile APIs, developing microservices to evolve the architecture, and perfecting critical systems like risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing. You'll focus on greenfield development and improvement of existing systems, emphasizing clean, maintainable code shipped fast using TDD, DDD, and continuous integration/delivery practices.
The tech stack includes Java 17/21, GCP, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.
Required qualifications: 6+ years of backend development experience, fluency with Java, bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar field, quick learning ability with ambitious and results-driven personality, strong teamwork in fast-paced environments, excellent communication and organizational skills, and fluency in English.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with Kotlin or Scala, finance domain knowledge, startup/scale-up background, and product-focused environment experience.
