Salary: PLN 36,000 - 40,000 / monthly
Revolut is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join its Credit team with the opportunity to relocate to Poland, Spain, or the UAE. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model across Revolut's offices in Krakow, Barcelona, Madrid, or Dubai.
You'll be part of Revolut's Technology team, which builds the systems and experiences powering the fintech platform used by 70+ million customers globally. The company has grown to 13,000+ employees and continues rapid expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building mobile APIs and microservices to evolve the platform's architecture
- Developing systems critical to the business: risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing
- Contributing to both greenfield development and improvement of existing systems
- Writing clean, maintainable code with emphasis on test-driven development (TDD), domain-driven design (DDD), and continuous integration/delivery
The tech stack includes Java 17/21, GCP, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years of backend development experience
- Fluency with Java
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluency in English
- Quick learner with ambitious attitude and results-driven personality
Nice-to-have experience includes Kotlin or Scala, finance domain knowledge, startup/scale-up environments, and product-focused settings.
