Salary: PLN 36,000 - 40,000 / monthly
Revolut is seeking a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join its Technology team, which builds the systems and experiences powering the fintech platform used by 75+ million customers globally. The role focuses on backend development using Java 17/21, with responsibilities including building mobile APIs, developing microservices, and perfecting critical systems like risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.
You'll work in a fast-paced environment emphasizing clean, maintainable code, test-driven development (TDD), domain-driven design (DDD), and continuous integration/delivery. The tech stack includes GCP, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.
Required qualifications: 4+ years of backend development experience, fluency in Java, bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field, strong communication skills, and English fluency. Nice-to-have skills include Kotlin or Scala proficiency, finance background, and startup/scale-up experience.
The role is available in multiple locations: in-office positions in Dubai, Krakow, Lisbon, and Madrid, or remote positions for candidates in Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Poland, and Porto. Compensation for Krakow and Poland positions ranges from PLN 36,000–40,000 gross monthly; other locations discussed during interviews.
