Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. You'll join a 100% distributed team of ~200 people (no physical office) as a Senior iOS Engineer responsible for the core iOS product. The iOS app is currently ranked #18 in the App Store productivity category and recently won Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading key engineering and product decisions for the iOS platform
- Actively shipping production code and maintaining the complex app architecture
- Working within a dedicated product team to shape the roadmap
- Participating in product discussions and contributing to strategic direction
- Supporting a rapidly growing user base while building new features
You should have:
- Proven experience building products that scaled to large user bases
- Track record shipping products from inception through traction
- Strong technical foundation in Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, and CI/CD infrastructure
- Experience with Fastlane, Git workflows, and SOLID principles
- Product thinking and customer obsession
- Ability to work quickly, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly in an asynchronous environment
