Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. The company's iOS app is the #18 productivity app in the App Store and recently won Apple's 2025 Design Award for Inclusivity. Speechify operates as a fully distributed, 100% remote company with ~200 employees globally, including engineers from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Stanford. You will join the iOS Core Product team as a Senior iOS Engineer responsible for shipping production code, leading key engineering and product decisions, and shaping the product roadmap. This is a high-impact role where you'll maintain and enhance the complex iOS app architecture while working within a dedicated product team. The company values strategic thinking, fast execution, and product-minded engineers who can balance speed with thoughtful decision-making. Key responsibilities include actively shipping features for the iOS app, participating in product discussions to influence roadmap direction, maintaining the existing app architecture, and leading engineering decisions that impact millions of users. You'll work in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create opportunities for leadership. Ideal candidates have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception through traction, and strong product thinking skills. You should be obsessed with customer experience, work quickly to generate and prioritize ideas, and know how to balance deep focus with team engagement in a fast-paced remote environment. Technical requirements include proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows. The role offers competitive salary, equity, and the opportunity to impact a transformative accessibility-focused product used by people with dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and other learning differences.
