Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently ranked #18 in the App Store's productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to make reading never a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the app's complex architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence product strategy and work on features that directly impact millions of users, many of whom have learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, and second-language learners.
The ideal candidate has experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception to traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at speed, and thrive in a high-growth startup environment. Technical requirements include proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
