Salary: USD 30,000 - 110,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app, currently ranked #18 in the App Store's productivity category.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS platform, actively ship production code, and work within a dedicated product team to shape the roadmap. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while participating in strategic product discussions. This is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions that delight users.
You should have a proven track record building products that scaled to large user bases, from inception through traction. Experience engineering products end-to-end is essential. You must be customer-obsessed, think strategically about product evolution, work with speed and focus, and communicate clearly in a remote-first environment.
Technical requirements include proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
