Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With 200+ employees across a fully distributed, asynchronous organization, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to lead development on its iOS app, currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, and participate in shaping the product roadmap alongside a dedicated product team. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while working in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create leadership opportunities.
You should have a proven track record shipping products that scaled to large user bases, from inception through traction. You combine strong technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI with product thinking—making thoughtful decisions about product evolution and guiding internal teams toward the right direction. You're customer-obsessed, speed-focused, and know how to balance shipping quickly with maintaining code quality. You understand multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
