Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setup, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support the growing iOS app (currently #18 in the App Store's productivity category) and drive new product initiatives.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence product direction and work on features that directly impact millions of users with learning differences including dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, and second-language learners.
The ideal candidate has experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception through traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at speed, and know how to balance focus in a fast-paced remote environment. Technical expertise required includes Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
