Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. The company recently earned Apple's 2025 Design Award for Inclusivity and Google's Chrome Extension of the Year recognition. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store) and drive new product initiatives.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategic direction and work on features that directly impact millions of users with learning differences including dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, and second-language learners.
Ideal candidates have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception through traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at high velocity, and know how to balance shipping quickly with thoughtful technical decisions. Technical expertise required includes Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
