With a 100% distributed team of ~200 people globally, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth and drive new product initiatives.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS app, actively ship production code, and work within a dedicated product team to shape the roadmap. You'll maintain and enhance the complex app architecture while participating in strategic product discussions. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence product direction in a flat organizational structure where technical excellence and consistent delivery drive advancement.
You should have a proven track record shipping products that scaled to large user bases, from inception through traction. Strong product thinking is essential—you'll make thoughtful decisions about product evolution and guide designers and internal teams toward the right direction. You must be customer-obsessed, focused on delivering exceptional user experiences, and capable of working quickly to prioritize what ships now versus what needs more time. In a high-growth, fast-paced remote environment, you'll balance deep focus with strategic engagement.
Technical requirements include expert-level Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure experience, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git proficiency. You'll work on a product that directly impacts millions of users, including people with learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and autism. The role sits at the intersection of AI and audio, two of tech's fastest-growing sectors.
