Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees distributed globally and no physical offices, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app, currently ranked #18 in the App Store's productivity category.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, and participate in shaping the product roadmap alongside a dedicated product team. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while working in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create leadership opportunities.
You should have a proven track record shipping products that scaled to large user bases, from inception through traction. Product thinking is essential—you'll make thoughtful decisions about product evolution and guide designers and internal teams toward the right direction. You must be customer-obsessed, focused on delivering exceptional user experiences, and capable of working quickly to prioritize what ships now versus what needs more time.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. You'll thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced remote environment where strong communication, work ethic, and competitive drive are paramount.
