Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, and participate in roadmap discussions. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while thinking strategically about user experience and product evolution. The ideal candidate has shipped products at scale, demonstrated a track record from inception through traction, and combines technical excellence with product thinking and customer obsession.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. You should have experience building products that reached large user bases, the ability to make thoughtful product decisions, and the speed to prioritize what ships now versus what needs time.
