Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. The company recently earned Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity and was named Chrome Extension of the Year by Google. With ~200 employees across a fully distributed, asynchronous organization, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store) and drive new product initiatives.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, and participate in roadmap discussions. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while thinking strategically about user experience and product evolution.
Ideal candidates have shipped products that scaled to large user bases, worked on products from inception through traction, and demonstrate strong product thinking alongside technical excellence. You should be obsessed with customer experience, work quickly to generate and prioritize ideas, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git.
