Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees across a fully distributed, asynchronous organization, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to lead development on its iOS app, currently ranked #18 in the App Store's productivity category.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, and participate in shaping the product roadmap alongside designers and product managers. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while working within a dedicated product team in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery drive advancement.
Ideal candidates have shipped products that scaled to large user bases, worked on products from inception through traction, and demonstrate strong product thinking—making thoughtful decisions about product evolution and guiding teams toward the right direction. You should be customer-obsessed, focused on delivering exceptional user experiences, and comfortable working quickly in a high-growth startup environment.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. You'll be expected to write clean, maintainable code and understand various Git strategies.
