Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. The position offers the opportunity to influence product direction and work on a platform that directly impacts users with learning differences including dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and autism.
You should have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception through traction, and strong product thinking skills. Technical requirements include proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, works with speed and focus, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments.
