With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to make reading never a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the existing complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence product strategy and work on features that directly impact millions of users, many of whom have learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, and second-language learners.
The ideal candidate has experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping from inception to traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at speed, and know how to balance focus in a fast-paced remote environment. Technical requirements include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git expertise.
