Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With 200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store) and develop new features aligned with the mission of making reading never a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, and participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap. You'll maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture while collaborating with designers and internal teams to drive product direction.
You should have a track record of building products from inception to scale, experience with large user bases, and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about product evolution. Strong technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI are essential, along with experience in multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows. Customer obsession, product thinking, speed of execution, and focus are core to success in this role.
