Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. The company recently earned Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity and Google's Chrome Extension of the Year. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in App Store productivity category) and drive new product initiatives.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence product direction in a flat organization where technical excellence and results drive advancement.
You should have a track record of shipping products from inception to scale, experience supporting large user bases, and strong product thinking. Customer obsession is essential—you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional user experiences. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and balance speed with thoughtful decision-making about what ships now versus what needs time.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. You'll work on a product that directly impacts millions of users, including people with dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, and other learning differences. The role is fully remote within a distributed, asynchronous culture.
