Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently ranked #18 in the App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, and participate in roadmap discussions. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while collaborating with designers and internal teams to shape product direction. The ideal candidate has shipped products at scale, demonstrates customer obsession, thinks strategically about product evolution, and moves quickly in a high-growth startup environment.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading programming, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. You should have a track record of building products from inception through traction and be comfortable in a flat, asynchronous organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery drive leadership opportunities.
