Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, participate in roadmap discussions, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to shape product direction and make a direct impact on millions of users, particularly those with learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and autism.
Ideal candidates have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record shipping from inception to traction, strong product thinking, and the ability to move quickly in a high-growth startup environment. Technical requirements include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git expertise.
