Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. The company recently earned Apple's 2025 Design Award for Inclusivity and was named Chrome Extension of the Year by Google. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setup, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in the App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the mission of removing reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to think strategically, influence product direction, and work in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery drive advancement.
Ideal candidates have scaled products to large user bases, shipped products from inception through traction, and demonstrate customer obsession and product thinking. You should work quickly, prioritize effectively in a fast-paced remote environment, and have strong technical skills in Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows.
