Salary: USD 30,000 - 160,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees distributed globally and no physical office, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app on the App Store) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to make reading never a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence product strategy and work on features that directly impact millions of users, many of whom have learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, low vision, and autism.
Ideal candidates have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping products from inception to traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at speed, and know how to balance focus in a high-growth remote environment. Technical requirements include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git expertise.
