Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support growth of its iOS app (currently the #18 productivity app in the App Store) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions, actively ship production code for the iOS app, work within a dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, and maintain the complex app architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence product direction and work on features that directly impact millions of users, many of whom rely on the app for accessibility (dyslexia, ADD, low vision, autism, second language learning).
Ideal candidates have experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record shipping products from inception to traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at speed, and know how to balance focus in a fast-paced remote environment. Technical requirements include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git expertise.
