The Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team solves complex, real-world problems through cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software integrations. Operating in small, innovative teams, the group focuses on multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning—all with measurable real-world impact.
As an Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer, you will own the CI/CD and integration test infrastructure that keeps the command and control (C2) software reliable as it scales. You will support the observability stack—dashboards, metrics, and data pipelines—that gives engineers and customers visibility into system health. You'll maintain production systems today and help lead the team's migration to next-generation infrastructure tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the team's current CI/CD systems
- Lead the team's infrastructure migration using Terraform, RKE2, ArgoCD, and traditional DevOps work (build systems, environment provisioning, release engineering)
- Build and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus metrics for system and test observability
- Support integration with the team's Data Lake for test and system performance data
Requirements:
- Production experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker Compose
- Experienced in GitHub branch management and release management practices
- Hands-on CI software testing experience, especially with CircleCI
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ArgoCD
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of day-to-day workflow
- Proficient in Python or another object-oriented language
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Helm, Terraform, RKE2, ArgoCD
- Experience with Robot Framework testing
- Familiarity with Data Lake architectures and tooling for metrics pipelines
- Familiarity with MCAP data and Foxglove
- Familiarity with Rust, C, or C++
- Familiarity with team collaboration tooling such as Slack and Slackbot CI development
