iCapital is seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Quality Assurance team. This is a hands-on technical role requiring both deep automation expertise and some managerial experience. You will design, build, and maintain robust automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development and product teams to ensure quality across feature releases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and implementing comprehensive automated test suites using industry-standard tools
- Integrating automated tests with build and deployment processes (Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker)
- Maintaining and evolving test frameworks as system architecture changes
- Performing functional, API, performance, and load testing
- Managing defect workflows and creating meaningful automation metrics
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers on feature-based testing
You should have 8+ years of QA engineering experience, with at least 4 years in Agile/SDLC environments with CI/CD exposure. Strong programming skills in Java are essential, with knowledge of BDD/TDD, design patterns, microservices, and REST APIs. Proficiency with testing tools like JUnit, RestAssured, Playwright, and JMeter is required. Experience with React front-end testing, SQL, JavaScript, and Git is expected. Banking/fintech background and ETL testing experience are preferred. AI integration experience is a plus.
The role is hybrid: four days in office (Jaipur), one day remote (Friday). iCapital is a fintech platform serving alternative investment managers.
