Kredivo is seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SEIT) for its Data Team to build and maintain automated testing across the full solution stack in a fintech lending environment. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity and system reliability as data moves through BigQuery, Redshift, and other data warehousing systems that power lending decisions.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and product teams from feature definition through production to identify and prevent defects early. You will decompose requirements into comprehensive test strategies spanning business logic, APIs, contracts, journeys, accessibility, visual, and performance layers. You'll work closely with developers to automate tests across the full stack, debug failures, and monitor post-release metrics to catch issues that slip through.
You'll analyze legacy code to coach teams on clean code principles and testability, evaluate testing methodologies, and suggest improvements to accelerate high-quality feature delivery. This includes maintaining CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and staying current with QA best practices.
Required qualifications: 3-5+ years in software quality engineering, test automation, or SEIT roles, ideally with data-intensive or fintech exposure. Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing (BigQuery, Redshift, PostgreSQL). Proficiency in SQL and at least one automation language (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript). Experience building automated test frameworks across business logic, API, and end-to-end layers. Familiarity with data validation techniques (schema validation, data lineage, statistical drift detection). Working knowledge of CI/CD and version control (Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins). Solid grasp of clean code principles and ability to mentor on testability.
Nice-to-have: GCP experience (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer), performance and accessibility testing tools, fintech/lending/regulated environment experience, LLM-assisted testing familiarity.
