Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems for their sportsbook and iGaming platform. You will contribute to both frontend and backend services, working with Java (Spring Framework) and React in a data-driven, operationally excellent environment.
Key responsibilities include designing and deploying frontend and backend services, participating in on-call rotations to resolve production issues, collaborating with engineers and product managers on feature delivery, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architectural discussions. You'll build familiarity with FBG's platform architecture and customer use cases while staying current with modern engineering practices.
Required qualifications: 3+ years building full-stack applications with Java (Spring) and React, strong grasp of software engineering principles and system design, experience with relational or NoSQL databases, familiarity with Agile/SCRUM, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred: startup experience, CI/CD and cloud platform familiarity, DevOps workflows, and MongoDB experience.
