Salary: USD 128,000 - 184,000 / annual

The Solutions Engineering Team bridges customer challenges and technical solutions, designing and demonstrating how Omada's products and systems solve real problems. As a Software Engineer II on this team, you will own moderate-complexity features and enhancements within automations and integrations, working across commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and ship tooling that eliminates repetitive manual work: file processing, migrations, eligibility/contracting/billing edge cases, and operational friction points. You'll own these enhancements end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders and working alongside senior engineers on work requiring deep architectural changes.
- Understand root causes by sitting close to implementations and escalations, contributing to investigations and flagging systemic fixes rather than one-off patches.
- Build with reuse in mind, extending existing templates, standards, and automation rather than defaulting to custom solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and modern automation to deliver solutions faster.
- Grow your craft by pairing with senior engineers to build proficiency across the Solutions Engineering stack, treating feedback on scope, design, and code quality as core to improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotation to triage and address issues supporting members and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years writing readable, tested, and efficient production code
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (or exceptional backend engineers in other languages willing to ramp quickly on Rails)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Experience building and consuming APIs and integrations across service boundaries
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools; you use AI coding assistants daily with a thoughtful, quality-conscious perspective on their strengths and limitations
- Experience with workflow-automation platforms (e.g., Tines, n8n, or similar) and building API-driven automation workflows
- Track record of shipping measurable improvements to well-defined problems, with communication skills to translate between business needs and technical reality
- Solid debugging and optimization skills
- Strong grasp of SDLC processes and frameworks
- Comfort ramping onto unfamiliar codebases with support, and judgment to know when to consult system owners
