Kpler is a global intelligence platform founded in 2014 that transforms complex commodity and energy market data into actionable insights for clients worldwide. The company serves over 700 experts across 35+ countries, specializing in commodities, energy, and maritime sectors. You will join Kpler's Commodities Tribe as a Software Engineer II, contributing to the Supply & Demand platform—a core product that processes global commodity data including production, trade flows, imports/exports, refinery activity, consumption, and inventory changes. The platform historically focused on crude oil but is now expanding to support refined products, biofuels, metals, and additional commodity markets. In this role, you will own meaningful technical areas and deliver reliable solutions across data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and data-quality systems. You'll work with Python and collaborate closely with experienced engineers, product managers, research teams, and data specialists to solve complex problems where domain knowledge, data challenges, and engineering decisions intersect. This is a significant engineering transformation: building a scalable, reusable platform architecture that can support new commodity markets without creating separate solutions for each product. You'll take ownership of technical decisions, grow your technical impact, and contribute to products used by customers globally. The role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working with complex data systems, taking ownership of meaningful projects, and developing deeper technical expertise in a data-intensive environment.
