AlertMedia is a high-growth, PE-backed SaaS company offering a Risk Intelligence and Response platform trusted by over 4,000 clients globally. The platform helps organizations detect emerging threats, assess impact, and coordinate emergency response across their operations.
You will join the Incident Response team, which powers the core product customers rely on during active emergencies—declaring incidents, assessing impact, assigning tasks, and coordinating organizational response. AlertMedia is AI-forward, actively using tools like Claude and Codex to help engineers work smarter and faster.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia Incident Response product
- Build features that hold up during live emergencies, including graceful degradation when dependencies are slow or unavailable
- Learn the AlertMedia platform and its uses for customers
- Work with JavaScript, Next.js, React, Python, Django, and related web technologies
- Operate in an Agile environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack
- Contribute innovative ideas to maintain AlertMedia's technology leadership
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams using strong communication skills
- Contribute to AlertMedia's culture and vision
You thrive in collaborative engineering environments, design for people under pressure, and think carefully about both happy paths and failure modes. You care about code quality, impactful products, and the teams you build with. You have AWS experience and are willing to learn from colleagues at all levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science, computer engineering, or related field) preferred
- 4–5 years of experience building scalable applications with MVC/event-driven frameworks such as Django, Next.js, or similar (Python/JavaScript tech stack)
- Experience with Linux-based containers using Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with AWS services
- Must have legal right to work in Mexico without sponsorship now and in the future
