Klaviyo is a leading marketing automation platform helping online businesses accelerate revenue and customer connection through owned channels like email, web, and mobile. The Product Expansion/Activation team focuses on improving the early customer experience and onboarding success rate for new users. In this role, you will implement user-experience improvements across the Klaviyo product, with particular focus on features affecting new customers. You'll design and execute A/B tests to validate ideas, interpret results, and drive iterative product improvements. Collaboration is key—you'll work with marketing, data science, sales, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities and engage directly with customers to understand their needs. You'll help enhance experimentation and development processes while mentoring other engineers on the team. The role includes responsibility for defining goals, constraints, and context for AI-driven implementations, ensuring correctness, security, performance, and maintainability. You bring a full-stack software engineering background with experience building and improving products, emphasizing user-facing features alongside supporting APIs and infrastructure. You're passionate about data-driven product growth and have demonstrated success with A/B testing to improve user experience and customer acquisition. Experience with AI-driven software delivery practices is valued, as is comfort in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, customer-focused environments. The tech stack includes HTML, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python, Django, MySQL, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Redis, and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Aurora) with infrastructure tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Packer. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Boston, working 5 days per week from the company headquarters.
