Affirm is reinventing consumer credit with transparent, honest financial products. The International Accelerator Engineering team is expanding and seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer II to join a Europe-based, Silicon Valley-rooted team building Direct-to-Consumer products for Canada, the UK, and future international markets.
You will work on the Affirm App and other consumer-facing products, shipping code to production for millions of users across geographies. The role emphasizes agility, ownership, and a builder's mindset. You'll break down larger projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams. You'll participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions balancing risks and trade-offs.
Key responsibilities include supporting team operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts. You'll contribute to team culture through growth activities and the interview process. The team values curiosity, context-switching, and leveraging AI to increase daily productivity.
You'll work with experienced teammates on problems that matter at scale, learning quickly and growing your craft. The environment is fast-paced with clear objectives, necessary resources, and autonomy in execution.
Required qualifications: 1.5+ years as a software engineer; experience shipping web apps with React or Vue; API design and development at scale using Python or Kotlin; ability to navigate large codebases, debug, and provide code review feedback; strong ownership of personal growth; excellent verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
