The Acquisition Growth team drives member acquisition and user onboarding through experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven decisions. As a Software Engineer II, Fullstack, you'll contribute directly to Dave's growth by developing features for subscription management and onboarding that impact how new users engage with the platform.
Key responsibilities include full-stack web and mobile application development using JavaScript and TypeScript, working closely with product and design teams to define feature specifications and build products using React and React Native. You'll participate in designing and developing fully-tested APIs that interface with multiple services, deliver high-quality code through incremental shipping across multiple pull requests, write unit and integration tests to promote squad-owned quality, and collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams to build and scale backend services. Regular code reviews and participation in team functions are expected.
Required qualifications include a BS or MS in computer science or related field (other majors considered with relevant experience), 2+ years of software development experience, strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills, proven ability to work as part of a team, and experience programming in general-purpose languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go. Experience with Dave's tech stack (TypeScript/Node.js, MySQL, Google Cloud Platform, React Native, React) is a plus. Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback are essential.
