Amperesand is reinventing power infrastructure for a new era of energy abundance. The company builds intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products leveraging advanced medium voltage Solid State Transformer technology, addressing the massive gap between skyrocketing electricity demand (driven by AI, EVs, and industrial growth) and century-old power infrastructure. With hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore, Amperesand combines breakthrough hardware development with scalable in-house manufacturing. As a Software Engineer II, you will build full-stack features across Amperesand's ERP platform, company intranet, and internal operational tools. This is a hands-on, build-focused role working alongside a high-agency startup team in hard-tech and energy systems. Key responsibilities include: - Implement full-stack features across ERP, intranet, and internal tools with guidance from senior engineers - Build backend services and APIs in Go supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise workflows - Develop responsive, accessible web interfaces in React and TypeScript (forms, tables, dashboards, workflow screens) - Contribute to ERP capabilities: inventory management, procurement, work order tracking, enterprise reporting - Contribute to intranet features: employee directories, document/knowledge management, approval workflows, self-service portals - Support integrations with identity/SSO, HR systems, document storage, and collaboration tools - Build AI-powered features: natural-language search, document summarization, data extraction, embedded assistants - Implement supporting infrastructure for AI features: retrieval, embeddings, and prompt engineering You will take ownership of well-scoped features, ask good questions, and grow toward independently owning larger platform pieces. You'll also support production software—fixing bugs, handling stakeholder requests, and making steady improvements. This is a fast-paced environment requiring initiative, urgency, and commitment to seeing work through. AI features are a growing part of the roadmap, and you'll gain hands-on experience building them into real products alongside senior and AI team engineers.
