Join Chainalysis' Foundation team within Platform Engineering to build and operate the shared infrastructure that powers the entire engineering organization. This is a hands-on infrastructure engineering role focused on designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure primitives including Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, streaming infrastructure, secrets management, and IAM systems.
You will own critical infrastructure components across AWS and GCP using Terraform, designing reusable modules and patterns that serve the entire organization. Key responsibilities include operating multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters (EKS), managing node lifecycle and security contexts, and owning the operational migration from managed Kafka to WarpStream. You'll contribute to platform tooling and reconcilers written in Go that enable self-service infrastructure patterns, design foundational networking and security infrastructure including transit gateways and security policies, and participate in on-call rotations driving operational excellence through incident response and automation.
The role requires 3+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience with hands-on AWS expertise (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, VPC), production Kubernetes experience, and proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. You should be comfortable with at least one of Go, Python, or shell scripting, with Go preferred for reconciler work. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, on-call responsibilities, and incident response is essential. Nice-to-have skills include Kubernetes operators/controllers, streaming infrastructure, networking depth, regulated environment experience, and GitOps patterns.
This is a C4-level individual contributor role suited for someone with 3–5 years of experience. You will work alongside senior engineers who will pair with you, review your work, and invest in your growth, reporting to the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering.
