Salary: USD 140,000 - 165,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the full stack from energy to cloud services. You'll join as a Software Engineer II focused on the container registry—a critical component that sits on the deployment path for every job launch on Crusoe Cloud.
You'll own components of the managed container registry serving training and inference workloads at scale. Your responsibilities include designing and shipping end-to-end features from conception through implementation, testing, rollout, and production operation. You'll tackle hard distributed systems problems, collaborate with product and platform teams to align on customer-centric solutions, and build reliable, observable software that scales.
Key focus areas: understanding and improving production performance, building fault-tolerant distributed systems under high load, profiling and benchmarking real systems, and raising operational standards across the team. You'll also mentor new teammates and help engineers grow.
You bring 2–4 years of professional software development experience with solid distributed systems fundamentals. You're comfortable with microservices, cloud-native infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform), and languages like Go, Rust, Java, or C++. You have a performance mindset, keep customers top-of-mind, and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly across functions.
Bonus experience includes familiarity with OCI image and distribution specs, container registry products, or large-scale storage and caching systems. Crusoe values what you've built and how you think over checklist perfection.
