Suki is an AI-driven healthtech company building ambient voice solutions that help clinicians reduce administrative burden. As a Software Engineer II on the Backend Engineering team, you will own the design and development of highly scalable distributed services that power Suki's platform. You'll work across a microservices architecture built primarily in Golang and Python, collaborating closely with product, design, and operations teams to deliver world-class healthcare technology.
Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining distributed services and microservices-based solutions; ensuring application performance, uptime, and code quality standards; implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines; and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests. You'll be expected to ship fast, iterate quickly based on user feedback, and solve complex engineering problems using data-driven approaches.
The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of strong product development experience building distributed systems and microservices. You should have strong programming skills on Linux using Go, solid fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, and deep understanding of concurrent programming. Superior communication skills and ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams are essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
Desirable qualifications include experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, infrastructure and systems engineering, and scaling services on cloud platforms like GCP.
