As a Software Engineer II, you'll be part of an agile development team building market-leading, open standards-first platform features for identification, authentication, and authorization across diverse applications.
You will work collaboratively with product management to implement high-quality features, using AI tooling as part of your engineering workflow to accelerate discovery and delivery. Your responsibilities include developing in Java, understanding and improving local and cloud deployments, planning and estimating work, maintaining existing code, resolving defects, and contributing to a strong team culture.
Key requirements: strong Java programming skills, excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, curiosity to understand complex systems, and the ability to learn quickly and independently. You should be comfortable with AI engineering tools for research, code understanding, prototyping, and documentation while applying sound engineering judgment.
Bonus skills include UI development with JavaScript/Vue/React, familiarity with development tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Bazel), RESTful web services, identity management protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, cryptography), enterprise-scale systems, and modern software engineering practices.
