Kaseya is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of scalable cloud-based software platforms and applications. The role focuses on building, testing, and maintaining software features that help organizations improve operational efficiency, security, and visibility across their technology environments.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining features for cloud-based applications and platform services, contributing to backend services, APIs, integrations, and core platform components. You will participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, troubleshooting, and production support. Collaboration with senior engineers, QA, product management, UX/UI, and operations teams is essential to deliver high-quality software.
The role emphasizes following engineering best practices for secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and maintainability. You will investigate bugs, performance issues, and customer-impacting defects while driving resolution and continuous improvement. Contributing to improvements in reliability, usability, security, scalability, and system performance is expected, along with clear communication of progress, blockers, and technical questions within the team.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. You need 3+ years of software engineering experience building production software, SaaS applications, or platform services. Hands-on programming experience with Java, C#, .NET, or similar technologies is required, along with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL. Familiarity with agile development, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and debugging production software is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with SaaS products, enterprise software, business applications, or cybersecurity solutions. Exposure to AWS, cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, or large-scale applications is valued. Understanding of APIs, application security, service reliability, and scalable software design principles is beneficial. Experience with integrations, telemetry systems, data processing services, or application monitoring tools is a plus. Strong collaboration, troubleshooting, and communication skills are important.
