Emburse is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of interconnected system solutions that enhance customer experiences and solve complex technical challenges. You will work with an engineering-focused organization known for innovation and award-winning technologies.
In this role, you will:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions using Java and other programming languages
- Apply broad knowledge of software development concepts and best practices
- Understand existing product designs at a higher level and how key systems interoperate
- Grasp the business problems your technology is designed to solve
- Develop features and enhancements with appropriate supervision and mentorship
Process & Quality:
- Follow SDLC processes including agile methodologies, peer code reviews, and release preparation
- Adhere to existing coding standards and contribute to API documentation
- Write tests of appropriate scope and complexity
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Growth & Collaboration:
- Seek mentorship from experienced peers and incorporate constructive feedback
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation
- Learn industry jargon and business concepts relevant to your product area
- Work alongside talented engineers to grow your experience and career
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of software development experience, preferably with Java
- Solid understanding of software development concepts and multiple frameworks/tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
