We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team in Dundee. You will work on our Experience-Led, Intelligence-Driven platform that combines human-centered design with data, automation, and cloud-based innovation. Built on an API-first architecture, our extensible ecosystem enables financial institutions to adapt quickly, integrate easily, and unlock new opportunities for growth.
You will be responsible for full-stack design and development using Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and modern cloud technologies. Your work will span microservices architecture, RESTful API design, NoSQL databases (JPA, Hibernate), and frontend technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Angular). You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Docker, and deploy solutions in Kubernetes environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing scalable Java-based microservices
- Building RESTful and SOAP-based APIs
- Writing test-driven and behavior-driven code
- Collaborating in an Agile environment
- Troubleshooting and optimizing deployments in K8s
- Applying modern engineering practices including AI coding assistants (Cursor or equivalent)
- Using Generative AI responsibly for code generation, test generation, documentation, and API contract generation
- Critically reviewing and validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and data privacy
