Ambrook is a Series B fintech startup rebuilding financial infrastructure for American family-run businesses, particularly in agriculture and real economy sectors. The company helps independent operators become more profitable and resilient by replacing legacy systems with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending.
As a Software Engineer, Growth, you will own the systems behind Ambrook's growth surfaces—landing pages, activation flows, checkout, and experiment infrastructure—while building operator-facing controls. You'll partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product operations, and customer success to drive business outcomes across the funnel using a data-driven, systems-oriented approach.
Key responsibilities include: owning growth systems end-to-end; teaching experimental rigor and best practices for conversion, activation, and retention; learning the fintech and climate tech landscape and how real-economy producers evaluate software; and improving experiment velocity across the company by enabling others and driving your own experiments.
Within your first month, you'll ship a standalone growth surface instrumented for measurement, map how growth and marketing run experiments today, develop customer intuition through discovery calls with agricultural producers, and contribute to engineering reviews. Within three months, you'll own a system (e.g., personalized landing pages or an AI-powered lifecycle marketing engine), contribute across Ambrook's product, and partner directly with growth and marketing teams. Within six months, you'll productionize multiple growth systems, close the data loop on experiments, participate in hiring, and document your work.
The tech stack includes Next.js/React (TypeScript), Expo/React Native, Firestore, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Storage, Sanity CMS, GCP infrastructure, BigQuery, and Hex. The company embraces AI dev tooling and provides budget for engineers to experiment with new tools.
You should have 4+ years of software engineering experience shipping high-quality web applications, with at least 2 years on growth problems. You combine experimental thinking with data intuition, excel at cross-functional collaboration, unblock yourself, possess product and design sense with customer empathy, and stay current with AI tooling. Bonus experience includes agriculture, financial products, TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, and headless CMS platforms.
