Postman is the world's leading API platform used by 45+ million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. The Collections team owns foundational features including Collections, Documentation, and Version Control—the building blocks developers rely on daily to design, test, and deploy APIs.
You'll join a team tackling hard engineering problems at massive scale: data consistency, storage efficiency, system reliability, and performance under heavy load. This is a fullstack role where you'll own end-to-end experiences, working across frontend and backend to build secure, performant, and scalable systems.
Key responsibilities include: owning and building secure, performant, scalable experiences; moving with agility to deliver incremental improvements; improving quality and reliability through stronger test pipelines and addressing bottlenecks; collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and product managers; helping define engineering best practices and contributing to engineering culture through mentoring and knowledge sharing; and contributing to new features driven by user needs.
You'll need 2-4 years of experience building and shipping features at scale. Required skills: proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and databases (SQL/NoSQL) with query optimization and schema design experience; strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, networking, and operating systems; ownership mindset and agility; collaborative communication; product thinking; and commitment to testable, maintainable code.
Postman is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Boston, New York, Austin, Tokyo, London, and Bangalore. The company is privately held with backing from Battery Ventures, BOND, Coatue, CRV, Insight Partners, and Nexus Venture Partners.
